The final episode of season three is titled "The Price of Free and Fair Elections." The final episode takes place on the Election Day. The synopsis of the episode suggests that there is nothing "off-limits" for Fitz and Sally as they try to win votes.
According to TV Guide's Mega Buzz, Mom Pope will succeed in her plans to target the president, with the bomb. "In other words, expect an explosive season finale!"
It also reveals that since the explosion is set to happen on Election Day, it will put the lives of many people in danger, including Mom Pope's daughter, Olivia.
In the previous episode, Mom Pope fatally injured Rowan and Olivia found him fighting for his life on the floor of her office. According to the synopsis of the episode, Olivia will be determined to understand her mother's motive.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Darby Stanchfield, who plays Abby, confirms that there are multiple-cliffhangers in the finale. She also indicated that things are going to get crazy in the final episode of "Scandal" Season 3.
"... in the season finale, while we were filming it, I was looking around this one particular set - and it doesn't really matter which one it is because you know Abby is everywhere...but I was looking around and thinking, 'Wow, things have gotten so crazy, that they might have to build a totally new set'," the actress said.
