B613's boss, Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) is the father of Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington), but that does not make him go soft on her. Rowan can do anything to accomplish what he sets out to achieve. In the new episode of "Scandal" Season 3, Jake (Scott Foley) said to Olivia that her father could go to any extent and that includes slitting her throat and drinking her blood.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Scott Foley said that his character believes that Rowan can be taken down. When asked if Rowan can be taken down, the actor said, "Jake believes that to be the case. That's his only hope of ridding himself of this B613 disease or stain that he has on him."

Jack has found an ally in Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and they both are looking at the same target, Rowan. In the episode "Say Hello to My Little Friend" of "Scandal" Season 3, Jake convinced Huck that it is possible to take down Rowan and that no one attempted that before.

"It's his (Jack) job to pull Huck into that belief and make Huck see that Rowan is the problem -- the only problem -- they have in their lives at that moment," Foley said.

Jake sees Operation Remington as key to bringing down the mighty and the almost invincible, Rowan. "Huck, Jake and Olivia are all working toward figuring out Operation Remington and what actually happened -- why there was this cover-up and why Fitz never said anything about it," Foley said to THR.

"All of this is ultimately to get rid of Rowan so that Jake and Huck can never have to worry about B613 again."

Operation Remington was a secret rescue mission that took place inside Iran during the Gulf War of 90s. Jake was part of that mission and was on the ground with four men. The navy pilot Pete Foster -- who Huck killed on orders of Rowan -- was giving air support according to records. But, Jake reveals in the episode that it was President Fitz who was in the air and providing air support at the time, and not Foster.

"Jake is not looking to kill the man (Rowan); he is looking to show that Rowan killed a guy. That will stand up in a court of law and Jake believes that will work. Olivia is on board for that," Foley said to THR.
