"Scandal" Season 3 continues to add new names to its cast list. According to the latest reports, Jack Coleman, "Heroes" alum, and Sally Pressman of "Army Wife" fame are the latest to join the expanding cast list of Shonda Rhimes created "Scandal."

In addition to Sally and Army, Lisa Kudrow of "Friends" fame and Paul Adelstein, an alum of "Private Practice" are the new additions to the ABC's hit political drama series "Scandal." Lisa Kudrow is expected to play a high profile politician, while Paul Adelstein has a "plump role," according to TVLine.

TVLine reports that Sally has a multiple-episode arc in "Scandal" Season 3. She is slated to enter the show sometime in November. According to Deadline.com, Jack also has a multi-episode arc and he is going to portray the character of Daniel Douglas, a charming Southerner, "with ties with one of the gladiators."

"Scandal" is about professional fixer Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington). She fixes problems of the high profile-politicians before it becomes public knowledge. However in the finale of "Scandal" Season 2, Olivia is unable to keep her relationship with President Fitz a secret and someone leaks to the press that she is the mistress of the President.

Spilling some spoilers about the upcoming season of "Scandal," Bellamy Young, who plays the character of President's wife Mellie, said to Wetpaint Entertainment, "We start right after Season 2 ended ... and Olivia's just been outed as his [President] mistress so she is no longer the fixer - she is the client. Mellie is the fixer in her own mind."

"We're looking at a re-election campaign, so I gotta handle it because we need four more years and Mellie has a very particular idea about who the scapegoat should be, what a strategy should be, how to push it all under the rug so we can get past and get re-elected."

The Synopsis of "Scandal" Season 3 Premiere Episode:

"It's Handled" - With Olivia's name out there as the President's mistress, both the White House and Pope & Associates face their biggest Scandal to date, and a surprise allegiance is formed in order to get things handled. Meanwhile, Olivia's father, Rowan, will stop at nothing to carry out his orders and no one, including Olivia, can stand in his way," according to the synopsis of "Scandal" Season 3 released by ABC.

The new season of "Scandal" premieres on Thursday, October 03, 2013.
