"Scandal" Season 3 is scheduled to return for its second installment on February 27, 2014. The upcoming eight episodes are expected to rise to new level of crazy. The first installment of the season has laid the base for things to becoming crazier in the second installment.

The mid-season finale of "Scandal" Season had some interesting twists. The biggest twists were: Jake taking over as the command of B613 and Olivia realising that her mother is a terrorist and her father was protecting her from the truth. Olivia's terrorist mother is free and is in Washington DC.

When "Scandal" returns in February, it is expected that elections will play a major role. Sally had given her resignation letter to President Fitz, saying that she would be contesting against him in the Presidential race. Cyrus had shown her the photos of her husband, Daniel, and his husband, James, in a compromising position. As a result of the photos, Sally had killed Daniel. She had called Cyrus to tell that she had committed a sin. He does a neat cover-up job and it is reported in the press that Daniel died of a heart-attack.

Sally's campaign manager, Leo, was furious that Sally did not call him after committing the crime. It is possible that Leo will pep-talk Sally, convincing her that all is not lost and she can still aspire to become the first female President of America.

In the upcoming episodes of "Scandal," one can expect Leo and Cyrus to "battle it out over Sally," according to E! Online spoilers.

"Leo is already ridiculously formidable for Cyrus. It's like this guy is no joke. He is a scary, smart mercenary. He is so scary, he is so damn smart, he pisses Cyrus off, I'll tell you that," said Jeff Perry to E! Online. "Cyrus and Leo are going to be butting heads."

"Scandal" Season 3 consists of eighteen episodes. Reportedly, ABC has cut down on the number of episodes because of Kerry Washington's real life pregnancy. Kerry has been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama.
