The body count in "Scandal" Season 3 is increasing thanks to the secret of Project Remington. Jake is able to see another day because of President Fitz, while Olivia's daughter status keeps her safe for the time being. One does not know when Daddy Rowan decides to teach his daughter and her friends a "sick lesson" and he rarely misses his targets.

In the episode 6 of "Scandal" Season 3, "Icarus," Olivia visits the White House to directly ask the President about the truth behind Operation Remington and if he shot down a commercial airliner. President Fitz isn't going to spill the truth on a demand notice and he does not. He cannot afford to come clean on the secret mission He tells Olivia that he does not know what she is talking about, and to Cyrus he tells that Olivia knows everything about Operation Remington.

Olivia takes up the job of managing Josie's campaign and is doing a good job at that. She is able to trigger the fiery side of Josie. Mellie tells President Fitz that there is no one else who can manage his campaign successfully. President Fitz visits Olivia and wants her to come with him on his campaign trail. Olivia questions him again about Operation Remington and tells him that one of the dead passengers was her mother. President Fitz again says that he does not know what she is talking about.

Before visiting Olivia, the President saves Jake's life. Jake meets his old, nameless girl who is ready to pull out some crucial information for him. However, it turns out Jake was her target and if President Fitz's man had not killed her, she would have killed Jake.
