'Scandal' Season 4 Spoilers Episode 6: Abby Confronts Fitz About Beating Up Jake In An Innocent Man [VIDEO]
The last episode of "Scandal" Season 4 ended on President Fitz beating Jake to a pulp. He wanted Jake to confess that he killed his son, Jerry. Seeing that Jake would most likely continue his hunger strike than confess, Fitz lost his patience. It seemed like Fitz was punishing Jake because he was sleeping with Olivia. Rowan, by pinning the murderer badge on Jake, has given Fitz a perfect excuse to hurt Jake. Also in the episode, Cyrus visited Olivia's place to tell her where Jake is and why he is being interrogated at the Pentagon. When Olivia questioned her father, he said that she is responsible for what Jake did, as he wanted to see her happy.
The episode 6 of "Scandal" Season 4 is titled "An Innocent Man." Jake Ballard is not an innocent man, though he did not kill Harrison and Jerry. In the last season, he watched James die a slow, painful death. According to the official synopsis of the episode, a convicted assassin claims that he is innocent and he summons Olivia. It looks like Catherine's case will be resolved in some other episode. In "The Key," Quinn and Olivia saw Dan Kubiak, the security guy at the firm of Catherine's husband, shooting Faith, the best friend of Caitlin. Kubiak killed Faith over a locker key. Quinn remembered that Faith swallowed something before Kubiak shot her. Quinn later opened Faith's stomach and found the key. Catherine will walk out free in one of upcoming episodes but not in episode 6, which is about an innocent man.
Lizzie Bear is returning in episode 6. Her return indicates trouble for Cyrus. Lizzie has hired a sex-worker to trap Cyrus and tame him, possibly to make things work her way. The synopsis of the episode says, "Elizabeth inches closer to corrupting the White House." Meanwhile, the promotional photos suggest that Mellie is back as the first lady. She will be meeting a former first lady in the new episode.
The highlight of the episode is likely to be Abby confronting Fitz about what he has done with Jake. In the preview clip of episode 6, she is seen saying to Fitz, "I need to talk to you about Jake Ballard. I ask because your knuckles are awfully bruised." She also says, "I'm not asking the commander in chief. I'm asking the married man who used to sleep with my friend what he has done with the man she is currently sleeping with."
Official synopsis of "Scandal" Season 4 Episode 6 "An Innocent Man": "Olivia is summoned by a convicted assassin who claims he was wrongly accused, and Mellie becomes intrigued by a former first lady whose stories seem to be strikingly similar to her own. Meanwhile, Elizabeth inches closer to corrupting the White House and Fitz makes a shocking move."
