"Scandal" Season 3 Episode 1, " It's Handled," reveals the identity of the person who outed the relationship status of Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn). In the season finale of Season 2 of "Scandal," someone leaked to the press that Olivia is President's mistress. Also, it was revealed that Rowan (Joe Morton) was the father of Olivia.

Who leaked the information about Olivia and President's affair: The person who leaked the news is President Fitz himself. He leaked the information via Hal (Stoney Westmoreland), the secret service agent. It was his strategy to bring Olivia into the White House.

Why Rowan wanted to Kill Olivia: Rowan tells his daughter Olivia that she was not the intended target but it was Jake Ballard (Scott Foley).

Cyrus Stops Olivia from Escaping: Rowan has a piece of advice for his daughter and packs her off on to a plane. Cyrus (Jeff Perry) asks her not to run away but face the events. Olvia later tells her father that she is never out of options.

Olivia uses Providence Key: She being outed as the mistress is a matter of emergency for Olvia. She uses the 'Providence Key' to meet the President. The President admonishes her on that. Mellie (Bellamy Young) also joins them in the room to discuss how to fix the situation.

How many times President and Olivia Slept Together: Olivia and President agree to reveal some truth, and not the complete story about their relationship. They slept twice, at the inauguration night and after the assassination attempt.

President Hugs Olvia: Once Mellie leaves the room, President Fitz hugs Olivia. Olivia finds it hard to refuse the hug and leaves the room in tears.

President Seeks Vice President's Help: President Fitz confesses to Sally Langston (Kate Burton) that he is indeed having an affair with Olivia. He asks her to take over some of the presidential duties so that he can fix the situation, and come clean on it.

Olivia's New Client: Jeanine Locke (Samantha Sloyan) is Olivia's new client. Jeanine is the fall girl. She being the real mistress of the President surfaces, while Olivia's name is cleared. Mellie is behind the new leak after she finds out that the President outed his affair with Olivia.
