Scarlett Johansson Opens Up on Sexy Image, Getting Old and Her Aversion For Lingerie Talks
Most actresses can go to any lengths when they want to look sexy and achieve a tag of sex-symbol as they begin their careers. Once they have achieved their aim and earned both fame and money, they are equally desperate to shed off their sexy image too. Same is true with Scarlett Johansson, who is now eager to lose her sexy status.
The blonde actress now wishes to do more roles where she is able to showcase her talent and acting skills rather than just looking good. The 28-year-old also realised that she is getting older and the sexy roles would look good now but not later in her career.
"I think as I get older I can transition away from characters like that. It's alright for now, but I'm convinced that in a couple of years' time it'll be somebody else," she said as she talked to LOOK magazine recently.
"But the characters I play aren't really traditionally sexy, it's probably a reaction to the fact that I'm curvy and confident about it. I think people are kind of a little out of touch with that," the actress said.
The "Vicky Christina Barcelona" actress insists she does not feel like a "sensual" person and fails to understand how her name ends up on the "sexiest women" lists always.
"I don't think of myself in that way - I'm only aware of it because people ask me questions like that, or when I'm shown a 'sexy list' of 'sexy people'," Scarlett says.
"In normal life I don't think I'm any more aware of my femininity or sexuality than any other woman. I mean, I don't walk around feeling sensual," she added.
The Dolce & Gabbana model has stripped in front of the camera many times but she also revealed she is not very fond of talking about her lingerie choices.
''I remember a female interviewer being really interested in what kind of underwear I wore under my outfit in 'The Avengers'. At first I was giving her sort of, 'Well you'll just have to wait and see type answers.' But eventually I was just like, 'You've got to be f**king kidding me,' '' she told the GQ magazine in another interview.
So is the "Don Jon" star scared of getting old in the industry?
"I don't think so. I look forward to ageing gracefully. I wouldn't want to go backwards," she said.
''I'm looking forward to what the future holds," the beautiful actress added.
