As the opening of the highly anticipated "Avengers" movie approaches, fans cannot get enough of anything related to Marvel Comics, hoarding anything they can get their hands on that's related to earth's mightiest heroes.

Which is why fans are pretty much excited by the release of the banners, especially Scarlett Johansson's.

Along with Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Johansson sizzles as the Russian spy Natasha Romanoff in her Black Widow costume masked inside the "Avengers" movie logo.

Romanoff first appeared in the 2010 movie "Iron Man 2" as the new personal assistant of Tony Stark, since Tony made Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) the new CEO of Stark Industries. Eventually she reveals herself as a spy for S.H.I.E.L.D., led by Nick Fury.

"The Avengers" started in the 1960s when superheroes joined forces to stop the Hulk from destroying a railroad track under provocation by Loki. The characters are based on superheroes from the Marvel universe, and the roster changed over time. The Marvel Cinematic Universe follows a different continuity, which will be elaborated in the forthcoming film.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe base its main characters publushed on Marvel comics, with shared plot elements, settings and characters.

So far, Marvel is the only brand to have successfully released five movies that will cross over characters in the upcoming film. While "The Avengers" is in post-production, "Iron Man 3" and "Thor 2" are currently in development.
