Screen Actors Guild Awards 2014: The Walking Dead Bags a Nomination
Nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2014 were announced on December 11. The nominations feature various great shows like "Breaking Bad," "Game of Thrones," and others. "The Walking Dead" also bagged a nomination at the 20th edition of SAG Awards 2014. However, "The Walking Dead" fans are not happy as the kicka** cast was nominated. How can they miss Daryl Dixon or Rick Grimes or even The Governor?
Keeping aside the sadness, the AMC hit show "TWD" grabbed a nomination in the Stunt Team category. The zombie show is up against "Homeland" (Showtime), "Broadwalk Empire" (HBO), "Breaking Bad" (AMC) and "Game of Thrones" (HBO).

All the shows nominated in the Stunt Team category are class apart when it comes to action, but we would still say that "The Walking Dead" is way ahead when it comes to the depiction of action and bloodshed.
How can we forget, "The Walking Dead" season 4 mid-season finale episode titled "Too Far Gone?" The entire prison battle sequence was executed beyond excellence. The complete sequence was chaotic with gun battles, walkers storming in the prison and of course, the tank. Yet, the stunt team of "The Walking Dead" planned the sequence in a professional and organized manner and made the sequence chaotic for the audience.
Season 3 of the "The Walking Dead" showed the amputation of Hershel Greene, it was nicely executed by the team. Moreover, the classic zombie killings that we witness every week are high-quality action sequences. The gore level in "TWD" is beyond epic.
