Search Plane Spots Canadian Teenagers Missing Since November 4
Five Canadian teenagers who went missing since Tuesday, November 4 are believed to have been found. A search aircraft reportedly spotted the four boys and one girl on a northern Saskatchewan lake.
According to the RCMP, the missing teenagers were believed to have been found on the shore of Malcolm Island at 12:50 pm (local time). However, the report has not been confirmed if the five people spotted by the aircraft were the missing ones. The lack of confirmation of the report is due to the fact that there is no mobile coverage on the most part of Reindeer Lake, the location where the rescuers are situated at the moment, CBC News reported. A community search team was reportedly on the way on a boat to Malcolm Island. The boat is going to take a couple of hours more to reach the location which is around 10 km to the south of the northern Saskatchewan community of Kinoosao.
There was a missing report of the teenagers who, according to the report, did not return after they had left in a boat last Tuesday. A massive search was launched around Reindeer Lake last Thursday. The search involved boats and planes as well as people who went on foot. Even though one of the members of the family claimed that the group of teenagers had gone hunting, it was not clear what they had in mind while leaving in a boat. According to RCMP, a couple of boats were spotted on Reindeer Lake north of Southend by a search aircraft last Saturday. However, when a ground crew reached the site last Sunday, the boats were no more there. The search has been interrupted by harsh climatic conditions. Winds gusted at around 40 km/h while the temperatures went below zero.
CKOM reported that Ann Morin, missing 13-year-old Brayden Morin's grandmother, said that Brayden's grandfather had trained him how to survive in the wilderness. Brayden is pretty good at survival skills in the bush that he has learnt from his grandfather. According to Ann, Brayden went hunting with Tyler Bear, 17. The other three teenagers were Treyan Cook, Dylan Morin and Tanisha Cook.
