Season 4 ‘American Horror Story-Freak Show’ Spoilers: Watch The First Footage And Main Credit Titles [VIDEOS]
This Wednesday night, FX's horror anthology series, "American Horror Story," returns with Season 4, which is subtitled "Freak Show." The new story is set in the year 1952 and the events take place in Jupiter, Florida. The new season follows one of the last remaining freak shows in the U.S. It is about the performers in a travelling circus sideshow, which is managed by a German ex-pat called Elsa Mars. She came to the U.S. after the war and since the 1920s and 1930s has rescued the performers from jails and hospitals.
The premiere episode of "American Horror Story-Freak Show" is called "Monsters Among Us." According to the official synopsis of Episode 1, "One of the only surviving sideshows in the country struggles to stay in business during the dawning era of television. When police make a terrifying discovery at a local farmhouse, the eccentric purveyor of the freak show sees an opportunity that will lead her troupe either to their salvation or ruin."
Jessica Lange (Elsa Mars), Sarah Paulson (Bette and Dot Tattler, the conjoined twins with two heads), Kathy Bates (Ethel Darling, the woman sporting a beard), Emma Roberts (Maggie, the con-woman with the crystal ball), Evan Peters (Jimmy Darling, the man who has lobster hands), Angela Bassett (Desiree Dupree, the three breasted woman), Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare (Stanley, the con-man who is the collector of freaks) and Frances Conroy (Gloria Mot) are returning to portray new characters in Season 4 of the horror anthology series. Michael Chiklis (Wendell Del Toredo, the strongman), John Carroll Lynch (Twisty the Clown, the most terrifying main antagonist), Wes Bentley (Edward Mordrake), Finn Wittrock (Dandy Mott), Patti LaBelle, Matt Bomer, Jyoti Amge (Ma Petite), Skyler Samuels, Rose Siggins (Legless Suzy), Mat Fraser (Paul the Illustrated Seal) are joining the original cast members. Naomi Grossman is returning to reprise her role as Pepper that she played in Season 2, "American Horror Story-Asylum."
Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, creators of "American Horror Story," have written "Monsters Among Us." Murphy has directed the premiere episode. The episode is 90 minute long.
