"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" is now out in Aussie theaters since yesterday, but have you watched it? Need a little more convincing? Or you just can't get enough of the film that stars Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig and Sean Penn? Well then, here are five fun facts on the film:

1. It's a remake of an old tale.

The film was the newest film adaptation of the short story of the same title, written by James Thurber and was published in The New Yorker in 1939. Eight years later, a film adaptation was made starring Danny Kaye, though the story was entirely different from the original.

2. A wild imagination, and vocabulary to boot.

The 1939 short story, the 1947 movie and this version are entirely different from each other; but they revolve around a universal theme -- a man with a larger-than-life imagination. In fact, the story of Walter Mitter, now played by Stiller, stems the word 'Mittyesque,' which refers to an ineffective person who spends more time daydreaming than paying attention to the real world.

3. Stiller stars and directs.

Stiller ends up starring and directing the entire movie after much negotiation during the pre-production. Jim Carrey and Sacha Baron Cohen were considered for the role of Walter Mitty, while Stephen Spielber was considered to direct movie.

4. Finding Picture No. 25 *Spoiler Alert*

Walter Mitty (Stiller) works at Life magazine's negative assets department. His adventure starts with the need to find the picture number 25, which photojournalist Sean O'Connell (Penn) has sent to Life magazine for its final printed issue.

5. Whither Art Thou Going?

Mitty brings his fantasies to life with adventures in frosty mountains and warzones. But most of these adventures are shot in either Greenland or Iceland. The 'real life' scenes, such as that in the Life magazine office and outside it, are shot in New York.
