Brock Lesnar retired from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) about two years ago but his probable comeback has made the rounds recently as he remains one of the top draws in mixed martial arts.

According to Mike Chiappetta of Fox Sports, there is a real possibility that returns to the Octagon in 2014 although UFC chief Dana White has stated that he has zero idea on Lesnar’s probably return to the sport

At the UFC 168 post-fight presser, White was asked by reporters if there indeed was a meeting between him and Lesnar’s camp.

“Really? I don’t know. I honestly don’t know,” said White of Lesnar’s return to MMA.

Online speculation has been rife at the height of the Chris Weidmand vs. Anderson Silva match-up set this Saturday MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for UFC 168.

The 36-year-old Lesnar fought seven times in the UFC and each time draw huge ratings and pay-per-view buys as he’s not only a UFC star but also a very popular wrestling superstar in the sports-entertainment business, in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Lesnar is scheduled to appear in WrestleMania XXX in April 2014. Any probably UFC comeback may have to start after the said WWE event.

Chiappetta also mentioned that two UFC sources confirmed that they do not know of any formal meetings between White and Lesnar although added that it could mean nothing as Lesnar and his management team is known in the MMA circles as “notorious for its level of secrecy” and that a “confidential meeting” could have occurred already.

The 6-foot-3 fighter was named the UFC heavyweight world champion in November 2008 after defeating legend Randy Couture. He defended the UFC title twice after that winning against Frank Mir in 2009 and Shane Carwin in 2010.

He lost the title to Cain Velasquez in October 2010 via a 1st round knockout/technical knockout. His last fight was against Alistair Overeem via another 1st round KO/TKO in December 2011.
