See Uma Thurman Show 'Daddy's Favourite Place' to Their Children in Lars Von Trier's Controversial Film Nymphomaniac (TRAILER)
Lars Von Trier's third installment for the trailer of his controversial film Nymphomaniac reveals Uma Thurman's role. In the trailer, aptly titled Chapter 3: Mrs. H, Thurman asks her husband's lover Joe "Would it be alright to show the children the whoring bed?" She then leads his three boys in the bedroom and says "This is where it all happened".
Thurman plays Mrs. H, who confronts the young Joe, played by Stacy Martin, for sleeping with her husband. Joe represents the titular role and will be later played by French actress and Von Trier muse Charlotte Gainsbourg as she gets older.
Von Trier's episodic trailers is divided into eight chapters. Chapter 1: The Compleat Angler, released in June, features the younger Joe teaching her friend how to flirt with boys in trains. Chapter 2, on the other hand, is titled Jerome and features Shia LeBeouf.
LeBeouf wears a British accent in the film. The trailer, posted in July, shows the actor introducing young Joe to co-workers and then enters in an elevator with her, which gets stuck after awhile. If you have a wild imagination and knowing Joe as a nymphomaniac, we can already assume what happens next.
The remaining titles for the Nymphomaniac trailers include Chapter 4: Delirium, Chapter 5: The Little Organ School, Chapter 6: The Eastern & Western Church (The Silent Duck), Chapter 7: The Mirror and Chapter 8: The Gun.
Nymphomaniac will have its world premiere on December 25 in Denmark. In 2012, LeBeouf told reporters that he will be starring in a film where the sex scenes will be done in real.“It is what you think it is. There’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, we’re doing [the sex] for real. And anything that is ‘illegal’ will be shot in blurred images. But other than that, everything is happening," he said.
However, it turns out that Von Trier used porn actors as body doubles to produce the unsimulated sex scenes. Nymphomaniac also stars Jamie Bell, Willem Dafoe, Stellan Skarsgard, Christian Slater and Connie Nielsen.
Its Australian release date has yet to be confirmed.
