After spotting Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander outside Tom's Restaurant in New York, rumours have sparked of a potential reunion of the hugely popular 90s sitcom, "Seinfeld."

CBS reports that Seinfeld and Alexander were not just catching-up, as photos have surfaced on social media sites that show presence of camera equipment outside of Tom's Restaurant. The front of this restaurant was used as the front of Monk's Coffee Shop in "Seinfeld." The characters of "Seinfeld" often frequented this fictional coffee shop.

The CBS also reports that Larry David, co-creator of "Seinfeld," was also spotted coming out of the restaurant. After he left, Seinfeld and Alexander were also seen leaving.

There is a possibility that this reunion of former "Seinfeld" actors and creator is related to the commercial for the upcoming Super Bowl XLVIII. Media and fans are also speculating that the three met-up to record a segment of Seinfeld's online talk show, "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

There is no official version available on why the three met. However, Alexander tweeted: "Hey everybody, you'll never guess what I did today. Shhhhh. It's a secret."

Showbiz411 recently reported that David has written a play for Broadway and that he is talking about it with Seinfeld. He did not confirm whether Seinfeld will star in the play. When asked, he said: "Maybe. We're talking about it."

The meeting of Seinfeld, Alexander and David comes right after Seinfeld's Reddit AMA session. He had revealed that he is working with David on a "big, huge, gigantic" project. However, he did not provide any detail.

"Seinfeld" premiered on July 05, 1989 and had a nine season run. The final episode of the final season aired on May 14, 1998. Currently in syndication, "Seinfeld" has become a cult sitcom and its fan-base has increased over the years.
