Selena Gomez 'In complete Shock' for Winning her First 'Moon Man'
Selena Gomez won her first "moon man" at the MTV Video Music Awards. The award was for the best pop video. The star got the award for the song "Come and Get It" from the album Stars Dance.
The song received mixed reviews,but with all the attention of the event going to the raunchy dance by Miley Cyrus some fans could have missed this bit of information.
According to a report from The Guardian, the song was actually first rejected by Rihanna. The award can be seen as a vindication that the star made the right choice to include it in her album.
Changing Image
She is trying to shed her image as a child star and stepping into the shoes of an adult pop star. The star made a beginning from a TV series "Barney and Friends." Thereafter, she played many small roles in movies. Many of her roles have been at Disney's productions led by "Wizards of Waverly Place."
The star has tried to shake the image of being perceived as an artist for children by playing roles in movies and donned the hat of a blossoming young adult as she starred in "Another Cinderella Story," "Monte Carlo" and "Spring Breakers" in recent years.

The tour is set to take her to places like - Amsterdam, Paris, London, Madrid, Frankfurt and Moscow.
She will be promoting her album across the U.S in many cities. The U.S tour is scheduled for October and she will be covering - Fairfax, Pittsburgh, Boston, Buffalo (NY), Brookyln (NY), Philadelphia, Uncasville, Newark, Hershey, Louisville, Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Sunrise and Tampa. Many other cities in the U.S will be covered by the tour in the month of November.
