Another rumour down the mill has sparked interest in a few Sheeran and Gomez fans. Apparently, Selena Gomez is hooking up with British singer, Ed Sheeran. With Sheeran claiming the collaboration isn't in the works, what then was Ed Sheeran doing at Gomez's residence a few days back? Are the rumours of a hook-up for real?

Justin Bieber is far gone from Selena Gomez's mind as proven by her latest hook-ups. The former Disney star was spotted with a few guys over the course of the break-up with Bieber. First, Gomez was seen with Austin Mahone and David Henrie. Now, it looks as if Gomez has finally settled for ginger-haired singer, Ed Sheeran.

US Weekly reports that Ed and Selena have been hooking-up behind closed doors. If this were true, then it would greatly explain why Sheeran was spotted a few days back at Gomez's residence. For one, a duet between Ed and Selena isn't in the works given Sheeran had said it himself that nothing of the sort is planned.

"They are hooking up! She got sick of having to take care of Justin like he was her child. This is a nice escape from the drama," stated an insider to US Weekly.

In an interview last June 16, Sheeran was even open to the possibility of being fixed up with Gomez.

"I wouldn't complain," said Sheeran.

This certainly means that something romantic is definitely brewing between Ed and Selena.

"[Selena and Ed] are friends with an open mind. He's sensitive and sweet and a lot deeper than Justin," continued the source.

If there is anyone to blame for this hook-up happening between Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran, it would be none other than country crooner, Taylor Swift. Swift had worked and had even been on tour with Sheeran countless times. Thinking it would be best for Gomez, Swift could have fixed both her friends together.
