After showing off an enviable figure and her good girl gone bad persona for "Spring Breakers", Selena Gomez is ready to show off her gun crazy moves and kick ass character in an all new film. Starring alongside Ethan Hawk, Selena Gomez packs in on the action for the "Getaway."

Proving this isn't Disney anymore, Gomez stars in an action-thriller opposite Ethan Hawke where guns, street races and cop chasing are involved. For those still haven't heard of the "Getaway", a short synopsis is as follows.

"The Getaway follows Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke), a burned out race car driver who is thrust into a do-or-die mission behind the wheel when his wife is kidnapped."

"With Brent's only ally being a young hacker (Gomez), his one hope of saving his wife is to follow the orders of the mysterious voice (Jon Voight) who's watching his every move through cameras mounted on the car Brent's driving."

Selena Gomez is certainly taking up more mature roles. Fans may recall Selena running around in a bikini for her "Spring Breakers" film. In the Harmony Korine directed movie, Gomez had to smoke a bong, get drunk and rob a bank.

As for "Getaway," the film also starring Rebecca Budig and Bruce Payne is slated for an August 30 release. Apart from the mature movie roles, Selena's new music also features a more grown-up vibe with lyrics bordering on naughty and sensual.
