Apparently, things aren't going all too smoothly with Selena Gomez's career. The former Disney star is facing charges with a fragrance company for skipping out on her promotional duties. So, how much is Selena Gomez getting sued for?

Despite the success of Selena's latest hit single, "Come & Get It", Gomez is still subject to some career pitfalls of which include the latest drama with her fragrance line. According to a post by TMZ, the 20-year old singer failed to do her job of promoting the fragrance line by Adrelina.

For those who don't know, Adrelina is a fragrance line that had launched fragrances for Adam Levine and Katy Perry. Gomez had debut her fragrance line for Adrelina back in May of 2012 which is exclusively sold by Macy's retailers.

"Adrenalina claims Selena then shirked her professional obligations, failing to promote the products and providing weak excuses to exit her contract," reports The Daily Mail.

How much is Adrelina suing Gomez for financial damages? Well, the numbers are up to over $2 million dollars for research and development of the fragrance line. Apart from that, the company also requests that Selena honours the deal by "continuing work as a promotional spokesperson."

"Adrenalina Inc. claims it made a deal with Selena in which the company would develop fragrance products using her name. The company says it did tons of R & D, spending more than $2 million in marketing alone," reports TMZ, adding, "The company claims Selena and her agent concocted B.S. reasons to end the relationship, leaving Adrenalina without a spokesperson. Selena allegedly refused to show up for promotions and it screwed with the company."

However, Selena's side is quick to fight back and deny allegations. Selena's attorney, Michael Weinstein released a statement with regards to Adrelina's allegations.

"Any claim that Selena did not meet her promotional obligations is ridiculous, manufactured after Adrenalina was terminated," stated Weinstein, adding, "Selena will vigorously defend this lawsuit, and will soon bring her own lawsuit against Adrenalina for millions in damages."

This sure is a lot of drama involving a fragrance deal. For one, Selena Gomez should hope to clear out the stench of being sued and hope to find a sweet scented middle ground soon.
