Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have sent their friends and family in frenzy. Rumor has it that the couple may tie the knot soon and this has apparently made Gomez's family perturbed. The news of the couple planning to take next big step caught steam when Gomez was spotted with a gold band on her ring finger during a "We Day Conference" in Oakland, California.

In a recent development it has come to fore that the ring is indeed a gift from the "Baby" singer.

"The ring was a gift from Justin, it's not an engagement ring, but they are back on and very serious," a source close Gomez revealed, adding, "Her family is extremely worried that she'll do something crazy like elope with him. Selena is totally wrapped back up in Justin, it's the same pattern happening all over again, " reported Hollywoodlife.

In her speech during the conference, Gomez did say that her mother is vital aspect of her life, but she likes being herself and does not lend any importance to what other people think.

Bieber and Gomez reunited earlier this March and numerous reports suggest that their relationship is stronger then ever-so much so that Gomez thinks her family is overreacting.

A source told that Gomez thinks she her family and friends are unnecessarily poking their noses in her love life.

"She's an adult now, it's not like her parents can tell her what to do, so it's a very delicate situation. No one in her circle is happy that she's back together with Justin, they've even talked about staging some sort of intervention to get her away from him but at this point that would only push her closer to him. Until he screws up again there's not much that anyone can do," the source said, as reported by website.

Gomez and Bieber have had an on and off relationship. However, going from their present public behavior it seems they are drifting any time soon, no matter what anyone thinks.
