Selena Gomez has recently revealed that acting is her first love. The 21-year-old singer told TeenVogue magazine that she looks forward to more film offers as she is planning to put more efforts toward it.

"Initially I wanted to quit music, but that probably isn't ever going to happen. I think I need to do more acting. I'm not super-confident in it, but acting is my first love,"

Selena further added that, "It's too easy for me to be in a teeny bopper movie. I like a challenge. 'Spring Breakers' is my proudest achievement, for sure, in acting. I'm so proud of my show ('Wizards of Waverley Place'), too, but the movie was absolutely liberating and it was awesome."

The songstress appeared in "Spring Breakers" with James Franco and had high expectations from the movie. However, the film bombed at the box office.

Selena has expressed her wish to quit music after the "lip-sync" disaster at the Jingle Ball concert. Contrary to singing live, Selena Gomez was caught lip-syncing her song. To get away from the embarrassment, Selena dropped the F-bomb and stormed off the stage. It seems Selena is really bummed by the whole incident.

However, she's trying to move away from the music scene by focusing on movie. With regards to films, the "Come And Get It" singer shared in her interview with Teen Vogue that she loves watching romantic movies.

"I love romantic comedies. 'Pretty Woman' and 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' ... I've always been kind of a hopeless romantic," stated Gomez. Should this be a hint for Justin Bieber?

Selena Gomez dated Justin Bieber for more than two years and on many occasions they were spotted kissing and cuddling in public. Given she never had issues with PDA, explains Selena's love for Rom-Coms.

We hope that soon Selena finds here footing in the film industry that she has found in the singing business.
