Selena Gomez has indeed moved on from Justin Bieber, as a mere linking of her name to the famous Canadian singer is enough to rile her up. She recently slammed a reporter for making an interview about her music all about Justin Bieber and responded to an Instagram user for daring to side with the interviewer.

Ocean Up reports that after Selena Gomez found out a Pre-AMAs interview she had, gave some limelight to her ex, Justin Bieber, the former Disney star was displeased. The reporter, who posted a caption of the star after the said interview and then referenced her "famous ex" got a lashing from Selena Gomez, who took the time to reply to the post.

The "Heart Want What It Wants" singer commented on the post, "I know you could've said my new single but ok." She followed this up with, "hate the caption." An Instragram user however, saw no reason why Selena Gomez should be displeased with the interviewer and commented as well. "It's not her fault if you're only famous bc Justin," the Instagram user's comment reads.

Selena Gomez still did not let this slide and called the comment "hypocritical." She defended herself by saying she has been working since she was just 7 years old and as an artist, she has a right to be recognised for her work and art. She shared she's allowed to "share" her "heart and hard work." To soften the blow, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star ended her response by saying she's praying for the Instagram user and wishing her a great day.

Selena Gomez is set to perform her new single "The Heart Want What It Wants" on the AMAs and is even allegedly slated to sit beside Taylor Swift. This is probably why she's angry that the interview did not talk more about what she's set to do on the AMAs and just focused on Justin Bieber. Her new song already earned her a lot of praises, even from her co-entertainers. Disney star Zendaya of "Shake It Up" even called the song "a perfect departure" for Selena and said she really felt the song because she was able to "connect with the artist."
