Selena Gomez talks Justin Bieber relationship, dating status
Selena Gomez has opened up about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The singer, who dated Bieber on-and-off for three years, admitted that the media coverage had somehow dented their relationship.
The 23-year old admitted during an exclusive interview with The Sunday Times that she does not regret her relationship with Justin and thought that she wasn’t “doing anything bad by falling in love.” However, dating the famous singer came at a price and that included the media attention.
“There’s such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it’s good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager — it makes it more difficult,” Gomez told The Sunday Times.
Selena also revealed how the Internet still wants to link her to Bieber despite the fact that they are no longer together. She insisted that she’s happy being single now and is currently dating other people, although admitted that she is not yet ready to get into another serious relationship.
“I’m dating, but I don’t really want anything right now,” she told the British publication and admitted that if ever she gets into a new relationship it would be something really “dear” to her.
Selena also talked about Nick Jonas, whom she dated in 2008, according to Mirror UK. She opened up about her belief on chastity at that time and revealed how she’s also not embarrassed to have taken off her chastity ring when she felt the moment was right.
The former Disney star was rumoured to be dating fellow musician Zedd. Although they verbally did not confirm their relationship status, they each took to their Instagram page to share photos of them together, teasing a possible romance.
TMZ once reported that the DJ visited the actress on the set of her new film “The Revised Fundamentals Of Caregiving” in Atlanta earlier this year. He reportedly also took Selena out for dinner to the Benihana restaurant in January. People at the restaurant claimed the pair was very cozy with each other during dinner as they spent some time “hugging and kissing.”
