Selena Gomez's Wax Statue At Berlin Makes Her Look Old By A Decade, Facing Criticism
Selena Gomez has been immortalised in wax yet again in Berlin but the statue looks nothing like her, according to several media reports. The latest wax model of the 22-year-old singer was unveiled at Berlin's Madame Tussauds on Friday. Selena's fans are disappointed with the statue's look. And, some websites are calling it the "worst wax statue" ever made by the museum, while others are complaining that the statue makes the Texan beauty look old by atleast a decade.
Selena Gomez's wax statue in Berlin is seen wearing a see through white shirt and black leather shorts and a small black tube top under the shirt. The "Come and Get It" singer wore the same outfit at one of her concerts in September, last year. Wax Selena's long curly tresses fall to her waist and she is holding a mic. Also, she is wearing high-heeled, black boots. The makers of the statue have captured her wardrobe perfectly and there is nothing wrong with her figure, too, but it is the face that has not impressed her fans and reporters.
Daily Mail is reporting that Selena's wax statue in Berlin has suddenly added at least ten years to her age. "What will Selena Gomez look in 10 years? Just ask Madame Tussaud... as singer ages a decade in latest waxwork," writes the website. Selena's face looks more plump in the wax statue than it looks in reality. The statue of Selena is sporting a pale complexion. The on and off girlfriend of Justin Bieber does not have that complexion. Also, the wax model's eye brows are wider and she is wearing a bright red lipstick. Check out the pictures here.
Mirror.com believes that this is the "worst ever" waxwork of any celebrity in the world. "Is this the worst waxwork in the world? Selena Gomez' life-size model looks nothing like her," the website says. It also compared Selena's real life picture with that of the Madame Tussauds waxwork to show the difference between the two.
The "Heart Wants What It Wants" singer has waxworks at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Washington D.C. and in New York, also, where her statue is placed next to Justin Bieber's statue.
