'Selling Sunset's' Emma Hernan Claims She Matched With Ben Affleck On Raya
Ben Affleck and "Selling Sunset" star Emma Hernan were almost an item, the real estate agent has claimed.
Hernan claimed to Chrishell Stause that she previously matched with Affleck on Raya while the two co-stars were discussing the exclusive, high-profile dating app in the fifth episode of "Selling Sunset" Season 5, according to Us Weekly.
"Remember when Ben Affleck went viral because he sent some girl..." Stause, 40, said as Hernan chimed in: "He may or may not have been texting me."
"He may or may not have asked to grab coffee a few times," she added. "I didn't go."
Hernan went on to recount that the "Justice League" star's "opening pickup line" was about their shared home state of Massachusetts.
"We have the Boston connection," she added. "It was very sweet."
Despite their online exchanges, however, Hernan said that they never met in person. She also clarified that they matched on the dating app before Affleck reignited his romance with Jennifer Lopez.
"You could’ve foiled Bennifer," Stause said. "He was on the hunt."
In April 2021, Affleck went viral after a TikTok user claimed that the actor DMed her a video on Instagram after matching with her on the app.
She posted the video of Affleck calling her by name and addressing the "unmatching" incident.
"Nivine, why did you unmatch me?" Affleck asked in the clip. "It's me."
Later that month, Affleck rekindled his romance with Lopez, nearly two decades after they split in the early 2000s and shortly after the "Marry Me" actress called off her engagement with Alex Rodriguez.
Earlier this month, Lopez confirmed that she and the "Deep Water" star are engaged for the second time. The couple was originally set to wed in September 2003, but they called off the wedding and split four months later.
In the latest edition of her "On the JLo" newsletter, Lopez shared how Affleck's proposal went down.
"Did you ever imagine your biggest dream come true?" she asked. "Saturday night while at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed."
Lopez continued, "I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘is that a yes?’ I said YES of course that’s a YES."
Meanwhile, Hernan is sparking a romance with a property developer named Micah in "Selling Sunset" Season 5, which is now streaming on Netflix.
