Serena Williams and rumoured boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou are back stronger than ever, downplaying speculations about the end of the relationship between the tennis star and her French coach.

The 32-year old Williams is raring to get back on the tennis court after bowing out at the Wimbledon Open championship on a dismaying fashion, failing to reach into the second week in both the women's singles and doubles competition.

The multiple Grand Slam champ played so lackadaisical at All-England Club to the extent that many of her fans and even tennis legends got worried about the health condition of the American tennis star.

A stomach virus was viewed as the culprit to her uncharacteristic play, but there are rumblings about her pregnancy. This speculation was further ignited after German tabloid Bild reported about Williams being fathered by her coach.

Her withdrawal from the Swedish Open didn't help her cause, but Williams finally squelched all rumours when she was spotted flaunting a bikini at a beach resort in Crotia.

Then again, Williams started another fire of controversy when several paparazzi noticed of her male companion during her Croatian escapade. Many tennis followers believed the picture of Williams having fun with still unknown guy confirmed the rumoured breakup between her and Mouratoglou.

What Breakup?

Though he admitted that he hasn't seen Williams for quite some time, the most controversial coach in women's tennis tour debunked reports of a breakup and stressed that his relationship with the American is going to get even stronger.

"Serena is clearly going through a difficult period. But since Wimbledon, we have had long hours of talks and we are getting back to work," Mouratoglou said in an interview with France's Tennis Magazine.

"Today she is in the mood to get back to training so she can return even stronger. At no time was there any question of us stopping our collaboration."

Mouratoglou revealed that he and Williams had undergone through some difficult times, but they are now ready to face their next challenge, as the American hard-court season knocks on the door.

Williams showed her enthusiasm to return training with her coach after posting a zealous comment on Twitter. Serena is set to play at Stanford Open on July 28 before hitting the fabled court of Flushing Meadows, where she's set to defend her championship at the US Open 2014.
