Serena Williams And Rumoured Boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou Spotted Together Ahead Of The Hopman Cup
Serena Williams' rendezvous with her rumoured boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou fizzled down a bit last season due to reports that the two has decided to stop seeing each other to focus on their professional relationship. This season, the world no. 1 was seen with her coach taking snaps at the airport ahead of the Hopman Cup tournament.
Serena Williams and Patrick Mouratoglou arrived together at Perth Airport on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail. The report claimed that two was a bit cosy with each other, as they took selfies on Serena Williams' phone.
"She has a reputation the world over as a fearsome competitor who hates to lose. But as world no.1 Serena Williams landed at Perth airport on Saturday, all that appeared to occupy her mind was the angle that showed off her best side as she posed for snaps with beau Patrick Mouratoglou," according to the report.
Although the 33-year-old did not post the photo on any of her social media accounts, the photos in the report were enough to spark rumours and tennis fans believe that the two is an item again. Patrick Mouratoglou, who is the coach of the tennis superstar, has been romantically linked to the 18-time Grand Slam champion since they forged their working relationship approximately three years ago. In the span of their relationship, Williams bagged five Grand Slam titles and regained her world no. 1 title.
Serena Williams is expected to kick off her 2015 campaign as a representative of the US team at the Hopman Cup in New Zealand, where she lost her first set against Flavia Pennetta 6-0. The world no. 1 managed to recover and beat Pennetta 0-6, 6-3, 6-0, which was followed by a victory from his team mate John Isner. The American pair also won the doubles match over Italy in the international mixed competition.
According to Williams, she just had to get some coffee after her first match with Pennetta. She asked for a shot of espresso because she needed to wake up. She added that she asked if it's legal to have coffee during a match because she's never done it before.
