Tracy McGrady announced his retirement from the National Basketball Association after 16 seasons. The 34-year-old McGrady finally closed the curtain on his career that saw him playing in seven All-Star games and winning two NBA scoring champion.

Drafted 9th overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 1997 NBA Draft, McGrady spent three solid year north of the American border but his career skyrocketed when he was dealt to Orlando Magic in 2000.

T-Mac became one of the most unstoppable scoring machines in the NBA, averaging at least 27 points along with 5 assists and 6 rebounds per game with the Magic. In 2004, McGrady was sent to the Rockets in exchange for Cutino Mobley and Steve Francis.

McGrady continued to be explosive on the offensive end. However, his individual success was not enough to transform the Rockets into a winner. During his tenure in Houston, the Rockets made the playoffs three times - all losing in the first round.

T-Mac's chance of advancing beyond the first round came after several surgeries on his knees and deteriorating playing skills. Before the end of the 2012-2013 regular season, the Spurs signed McGrady for the rest of the season and into the playoffs. Unfortunately for him, the Spurs lost to the Miami Heat in an epic seven-game finals series, leaving him without a title.

Nevertheless, McGrady carved a pretty impressive career in the NBA, though it may not be enough for him to enter the Hall of Fame in Springfield Massachusetts.
