Hoshi, one of the members of the K-pop supergroup SEVENTEEN, has revealed how he achieved a sexier body as the band slowed down during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.

The 26-year-old singer, who claimed he used to feel drained after almost every performance, said took advantage of the tour's cancelation in 2020 to improve his health by working out and getting proper nutrition. It was, according to him, so he could give the group's loyal fans, collectively known as Carats, better shows.

"I gain energy while simultaneously losing it. If my energy gets charged to 100 after hearing fans' cheers, I pour over 100 into my performance. That's why when our performances are done, I'm exhausted," Hoshi told Vogue Korea in an interview for its August issue, according to Soompi.

"Sometimes, there are instances where you work hard but there's just no energy in your body," he continued. "When that happens I think, 'Is this the best I can do?' That's why after our world tour was postponed due to the pandemic, I started officially working out and taking nutrient supplements."

His hard work eventually paid off. When the group kicked off its "Be the Sun" world tour in Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome in June, fans gasped as they took notice of Hoshi's toned body.

"HOSHI LIFTED HIS SHIRT AGAIN," wrote as they shared a video of Hoshi giving the audience a peek at his abs and dancing with the group on stage.

"Yes lets gooooo hoshi showing em that sexy body," tweeted alongside a clip of Hoshi showing off his toned body while wearing a sparkling see-through top.

Hoshi also admitted during his Vogue Korea interview that while working out, he held on to the idea of showing fans a "more mature" image of him, especially during performances.

"Honestly, during the pandemic, I held out while thinking, 'I have to meet our fans, Carats with a slightly more matured image.' Even when my solo mixtape 'Spider' came out in the middle of the pandemic, I really wanted to showcase a new image. After all that, finally seeing our fans in person made me tear up," he told the publication.
