The Strokes and Mumford & Sons will head to Nullarbor for a big gig called On the Bright Side which will be held at the Esplanade on July 24.

Other bands like Angus & Julia Stone, Band of Horses, Hot Chips, Tingtings, Bluejuice and Middle East are also expected to arrive.

The Strokes is composed of Nick Valensi on lead guitar, Julian Casablancas on vocals, Fabrizio Moretti on drums, Albert Hammond Jr. on rhythn guitar, and Nikolai Fraiture on bass guitar.

They have made it big in the scene since the release of their debut album Is This It in 2001. It includes the popular tracks Last Nite, Hard To Explain, The Modern Age, Reptilia, Juicebox and Take It or Leave It. They are now back on tour and recording.

Mumford & Sons are said to perform their album Sigh no More for the upcoming gig. Last year, their track Little Lion Man beat on the charts Triple J's number one song.

Two albums, A Book Like This and Down the Way, will be played by Angus & Julia Stone.
