The highly anticipated reunion of the “Sex and the City” cast for a sequel movie remains a possibility, as lead star Sarah Jessica Parker recently hinted on the potential return of the HBO series on television or on the silver screen.

Various outlets reported that Parker said the main cast of the television series are open to a reunion either for the small or big screen. Parker plays the role of the columnist Carrie Bradshaw, who narrates the storyline. Her co-stars include Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon.

“I don’t think any of us have said no,” the 51-year-old “Divorce” star told the Press Association.

The fashionable cast of “Sex and the City” was assembled for the HBO television sitcom whose 94 episodes aired between 1998 to 2004. The storyline revolves around a group of four New Yorkers who gossip about their sex lives and discuss their numerous struggles over living in New York City as women.

The first movie adaptation of “Sex and the City” was shown on the silver screen in 2008. The cast reunited for a second sequel that was released in 2010.

“I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie. I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved,” Parker added.

Parker already hinted about the possibility of a third “Sex and the City” movie in September 2015 but said there was “no decision” yet then.

“It remains a not-often-had conversation,” she said in an interview at the TODAY Show. “I know — and [writer-director] Michael Patrick [King] knows well — the story we might tell, if we ever tell it. But the real truth, and I’m not being cagey, is we’ve not discussed a when.”

“It’s such a hard question to answer because everybody reads and projects so much into what I say. There is a story. When and if we tell it remains unknown.”

Parker was recently spotted in the Big Apple when she attended the New York City Ballet Fall Gala last week.

At present, Parker plays Frances on the HBO comedy television series “Divorce.”
