"Fifty Shades of Grey," the widely popular erotic fiction by E.L. James, is often compared to the Crossfire series. But the similarities blur where Eva Tramell and Grey's Anastasia Steele come in. Day's Crossfire series had been optioned for television adaptation by Lions Gate Entertainment. On the other hand, the Fifty Shades of Grey series will be turned into a movie by Universal Pictures and Focus Features.
