It has been roughly a month at the Sydney Cricket Ground when Phillips Hughes met with his unfortunate demise. It is here that Australia and India will play the final Test Match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Australia have already taken an assailable two nil lead in the series.

It should be great advertisement for the future of Test Match cricket with a 25 year old Australian and a 26 year old Indian captaining their respective sides. With the exuberance of youth on display the fans should expect fearless and aggressive cricket. Both the teams have been accused of being too defensive in this tour in the recent past. This four Test Match series will see its third captain combination. In the first Test Match it was Michael Clarke and Virat Kohli, in the next two it was Steve Smith and MS Dhoni.
Australian cricket team have good a phenomenal record at the SCG. They have won 10 of the last 11 matches played on this ground. Indian will be hoping that their newly appointed Test Match captain will be able to continue his brilliant from in this match as well. If he scores a century then he will join Wally Hammond as the only visiting batsmen to score four centuries in a Test Match series in Australia.
The Sydney Test is special for another reason. Every year the New Year Test Match at the SCG gets rebranded as the Pink Test Match to grow awareness and raise money for breast cancer by the McGrath foundation. This year it will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The Australian cricket team also mark this occasion by wearing special kits with pink stripes on their gear as well as their apparel.
