Shailene Woodley, after winning big on the recently concluded Teen Choice Awards, claimed that unlike other young stars, she did not have a crush growing up. With no shortage of young fans, parents would certainly find this a refreshing role model for their children. This, in spite of her unconventional ways, eating clay and couch surfing.

People.com reports that after winning several surfboard-shaped trophies on Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night, the "Divergent" and "The Fault in Our Stars" star was sweet to entertain reporters' questions on crushes and other personal titbits she has. Quirky as always, the young star, 22 quipped that she never had celebrity crushes when she was growing up.

"Teen obsessions? You know, it's funny. I never had posters on my wall," shared Shailene to the reporters. "I was really obsessed with sewing as a teenager. True story!" stated Woodley.

People magazine claimed that Woodley just gave another reason for parents and young people to admire and appreciate her. During her acceptance speech at the Teen Choice Awards, Shailene asked her fans to remain "true to themselves"

"In my opinion, you can be brave and jump off trains, but the truest form of bravery and courage is to wake up every single day and to be ourselves. That is something all of us have the opportunity and choice to make each and every morning," stated the actress.

After the Awards show, she also emphasized being individualistic and unique. The budding young actress said that regardless of age, people all have message to share.

"The Fault in Our Stars" won big on TCA 2014, NZ Herald reports. Shailene Woodley and Ansel were honoured with several surfboards, particularly awards for choice drama movie actor and breakout movie star for Elgort and choice drama and action movie actress for Divergent star Woodley. The two also won for choice movie lip-lock for their "The Fault in Our Stars'" kiss.
