Shailene Woodley And Theo James' Sex Scene In 'Insurgent': 'Sometimes Booze Helps,' Says Theo
Theo James and Shailene Woodley are currently promoting their film “Insurgent.” The two reportedly have a steamy sex scene in the film and they spoke about the preparation for it.
“Sometimes booze helps if it's really hardcore,” said Theo. He also added that things become a little awkward when “you’re naked” in the middle of the scene and things have to be tweaked, reported Eonline. However, for Shailene it is normal to embrace sexuality. “I guess I'm very European in that way. The more we suppress that normalcy, I think the more we seek it in ways that don't actually fulfill our sexual needs,” she added. The actress also thinks that the confidence while doing a sex scene comes from the people one is working with.
According to Shailene, the director creates “a safe environment” and the comfort of enacting the scene also depends on the co-star with whom one is performing. The 23-year-old actress finds Theo a “gentleman” and this reportedly made performing the sex scene like any another scene. Moreover, Theo also had praises for Shailene and according to him she has really grown into a woman in just a few years.
“Insurgent” stars Shailene and Theo as Tris and Four, respectively. The film is a sequel to “Divergent” and will follow the story of Tris who will continue her mission to save her loved ones while hunting the answer of her identity. She will continue her fight against the powerful forces and will get assistance from others on her side, according to IMDB.
The film is scheduled to be released on March 19. Robert Schwentke has directed the film and it also stars Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Naomi Watts, Jai Courtney, Kate Winslet and others. The screenplay of the film has been written by Brian Duffield and Akiva Goldsman. The principal photography of the film took place in in Atlanta, Georgia and it will be released in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D. The film is based on the novel of same name by Veronica Roth.
