Shakira officially confirmed that she's pregnant, putting an end to speculations floating around since her performance at the 2014 World Cup. She has announced that she is pregnant with her second child. The proud father is none other than famous soccer player Gerard Pique. The couple is ready to welcome another addition to their family.

The couple has been going steady since 2010 and already has a 19-month-old son named Milan.

It is also rumored that Shakira's second child will also be a boy; however, this has not yet been confirmed. Whatever the gender of the child is, though, it will definitely inherit the couple's wonderful genes -- a perfect blend of beauty and talent.

The Columbia-born singer, songwriter and record producer met the soccer star while producing the 2010 World Cup promotional song "Waka Waka." The singer gives complete credit to the soccer World Cup 2010 for the romance in her life. "If it wasn't for the World Cup, my son Milan would not be here," the famous musician said at the final game held in Brazil onJuly 2013.

Rumours of her expecting for the second time started surfacing after her show-stopping performance at this year's World Cup's closing ceremony. The singer was seen with a tiny but slightly noticeable baby bump which led to speculations. The couple did their best to keep the secret to themselves. "Well yes, the truth is that I am pregnant," the star finally confirmed to Cosmopolitan México.

Shakira is known for some of her bestselling work like "Wherever, Whenever" and "She Wolf." Her song "Waka Waka" eventually became the anthem of the World Cup soccer games and is quite popular until date. She is the highest-selling Columbian artist of all time and among the top female Latin singers.

Shakira has been in the news lately as she was found accused of breaking copyright laws for the hit song "Loca," reportedly infringing Dominican artist Ramon Arias Vasquez's song.
