Shane Warne posted a shirtless selfie on a social network and was immediately criticised for the strip-show.

The legendary leg-spinner flaunted his tanned and toned body with pride. He posted the photo on Twitter. The caption of the photo said that he had fun with his kids while he had also managed to get a tan. Even though Warne might only have expected appreciation of his body, people's response turned out to be exactly the opposite.

Warne, who has recently broken up with his long-time sweetheart Elizabeth Hurley, was reminded that Twitter was not a "dating" Web site. The photograph seemed "repulsive" to some. John Allison wrote: "He looks like a Shane Warne clone freshly emerged from some kind of gloop-filled tank. Repulsive." Jason Lyall asked Warne if there was no mirror in his place. Allison Everson ‏tweeted: "Aargh he is an embarrassment to his children! Get a life". Some of the users hash-tagged their tweet with #vommit while commenting on Warne's selfie.

Another aspect of the photograph that drew strong criticism was his erect nipples. Heat World comments that Warne could only have stood in a freezer before taking the picture. Otherwise, it is not possible to have his nipples "freaking erect". Sports Freak commented: "Guys have erogenous nipples too you know. Amazes me how women forget that at times".

Warne seems to have been in troubles waters in recent times as controversies are apparently chasing him like a mad dog. His break up with Liz Hurley happened in mid-December. Then there was this crazy man who claimed himself to be a Warne fan displayed his mobile number on national television asking Warne to send him a text message. The man apparently made fun of Warne's past controversies related to scandalous sexting various women. Nevertheless, Warne has always been a controversy's child anyway.
