Sharemarket opens higher
On the Sydney Futures Exchange this morning, the share price index futures contract was 22 points up at 4717 points. Trading is expected to be influenced by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) housing finance data to be released later this morning.
Friday trading saw the benchmark S&P/ASX200 Index going slightly down 9.90 points (0.21 percent) to 4681.40, and the broader All Ordinaries Index adding 5.7 points (0.12 percent) to 4740.50 points.
BHP Billiton Limited (ASX: BHP) added five cents $41.00
Rio Tinto Limited (ASX: RIO) also went up slightly with one cent to settle at $79.54
Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX: ANZ) slightly dropped seven cents at $24.07
Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX: CBA) continued to moved down with 38 cents at $51.12
National Australia Bank Limited (ASX: NAB) lost nine cents at $25.75
Westpac Banking Corporation (ASX: WBC) also decreased another 12 cents at $23.18
AMP Limited (ASX: AMP) slightly dropped five cents more at $5.28
Insurance Australia Group Limited (ASX: IAG) continued to move up with another one cent at $3.73
QBE Insurance Group Limited (ASX: QBE) remained at $17.27
Telstra Corporation Limited (ASX: TLS) gained two cents at $2.66
Telecom Corporation of New Zealand in Australia (ASX: TEL) continued to remain $1.57
David Jones Limited (ASX: DJS) went down seven cents to settle at $4.93
Harvey Norman Holdings Limited (ASX: HVN) also lost 14 cents at $3.72
Wesfarmers Limited (ASX: WES), though, went up with 27 cents at $34.00
Woolworths Limited (ASX: WOW) dropped 37 cents at $29.70
Toll Holdings Limited (ASX: TOL) increased six cents at $6.86
Qantas Airways Limited (ASX: QAN) slightly went up two cents at $2.90
