Sharemarket opens lower
On the Sydney Futures Exchange this morning, the share price index futures contract was five points lower at 4668 points.
Wednesday's trading saw the benchmark S&P/ASX200 Index going down 24.8 points (0.53 percent) to 4645.08, and the broader All Ordinaries Index dropping 23.0 points (0.49 percent) to 4694.
BHP Billiton Limited (ASX: BHP) dropped further with six cents at $39.37
Rio Tinto Limited (ASX: RIO), however, went up 26 cents to settle at $77.26
Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX: ANZ) lost 18 cents at $24.14
Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX: CBA) slipped further with 55 cents at $52.05
National Australia Bank Limited (ASX: NAB) dropped 24 cents more at $25.90
Westpac Banking Corporation slumped 31 cents at $23.71
AMP Limited (ASX: AMP) dropped five cents at $5.18
Insurance Australia Group Limited (ASX: IAG) decreased further with three cents at $3.69
QBE Insurance Group Limited (ASX: QBE) stayed flat at $17.55
Telstra Corporation Limited (ASX: TLS) dipped two cents at $2.68
David Jones Limited (ASX: DJS) climbed five cents to settle at $5.03
Harvey Norman Holdings Limited (ASX: HVN) decreased further by one cent at $3.81
Wesfarmers Limited (ASX: WES) slumped further with 63 cents at $33.57
Woolworths Limited lost 44 cents at $29.26
Toll Holdings Limited (ASX: TOL) gained 16 cents at $6.71
Qantas Airways Limited (ASX: QAN) went up one cent at $2.76
