Charlie Sheen’s spokesman Stan Rosenfield confirmed earlier reports that the Two and a Half Man star was rushed to the hospital Thursday due to hernia and not an overdose.

"All I know is, he was having severe abdominal pains and went to the hospital," Rosenfield said, according to ABC News.

ABC News also said that the actor’s representative that Sheen has long-standing been suffering from hernia condition.

Sheen was seen being carried by a stretcher and was brought to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, in Los Angeles where he was visited by his parents, Martin Sheen of West Wing and his mother, Janet Templeton.

TMZ said that the controversial third ex-wife, Denise Richards later joined his parents at the hospital.

According to ABC News, an unnamed friend of the actor said in celebrity TV show, Extra, that the abdominal pains resulted from laughing too hard at an unidentified television show during a marathon party.
