Fans of BBC "Sherlock" may have to call upon their own Sherlock to find out the date of "Sherlock 3" premiere episode. Earlier, there were reports that the new season of "Sherlock" is slated to air in October, 2013. Now, it looks like the mystery behind "how Sherlock faked his death" will only be revealed in 2014. The latest reports suggest that the Season 3 of "Sherlock" is scheduled to air in January, 2014.

BBC has yet to make an official announcement. Sue Vertue, producer of BBC "Sherlock," tweeted "Not sure where #Sherlock latest rumoured tx date of 01/14 has come from. Not from me as tx date is not yet confirmed."

Jeremy Lovering, director of "Sherlock," recently revealed that they did a few false shots to fool the reporters and scoop gatherers. Some of the shots that went viral may not be part of the actual script and Sherlock help may be needed here, too to differentiate between the real shots and the fake ones.

The shooting of "Sherlock 3" has wrapped-up, and it is the confirmed news. Sue tweeted, "It's a wrap for season 3 #sherlock #setlock" and posted this image.

What We Know About "Sherlock 3": The new season will follow the motif: "Rat, Wedding, and Bow." The three episodes that make-up the new season are: "The Empty Hearse," "The Sign of Three," and "His Last Vow." Since Moriarty is dead and dead for sure, a new bad man will appear. Sue had tweeted in July "Sherlock's new nemesis - introducing Lars Mikkelsen as Charles Augustus Magnussen."

The first episode "Empty Hearse" is loosely based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original "Sherlock Holmes" short story, "The Adventure of the Empty House."

There are reports that Benedict Cumberbatch, Sherlock of BBC "Sherlock," is expected to appear in Episode VII of "Star Wars." Film Chronicles reports that the maverick actor's name is likely to be announced when the casting announcement for "Star Wars" is made. However, the report did not reveal the role that Cumberbatch will play.
