‘Sherlock’ Season 3 'The Empty Hearse' Episode: Ms Hudson Calls Benedict Cumberbatch Gorgeous, Fans Call it 'Really Amazing'
All the regular characters of "Sherlock" are much loved by the audience. Ms Hudson, the landlady of Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr Watson's (Martin Freeman) house at 221B Baker Street, is among a handful of people that Sherlock trusts. Sherlock and Ms Hudson have developed a beautiful bond.
Una Stubbs plays the role of Ms Hudson in the third season of "Sherlock." In an interview with Radio 4 magazine show, "Loose Ends," the veteran actress revealed that she finds Benedict Cumberbatch absolutely gorgeous.
"Especially early on you look at him (Cumberbatch) and you think that's an extraordinary face and later you think: 'God, he's gorgeous' and success sits very well on his shoulders now I think and that has added another layer to his appeal I think," said the actress, as quoted by Radio Times.
Stubbs also said that Sherlock sees Ms Hudson as a mother. "He (Sherlock) loves me as a Mum and he is probably grateful I'm looking after him."
The actress also joked that in the upcoming season of "Sherlock" that her role is "barmy." She said that earlier her character used to be "Kooky."
Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Sherlock Holmes on January 01, 2014. The premiere episode, "The Empty Hearse," will pick up two years after Sherlock's fake death. In one of the teasers, Ms Hudson can be seen in shock to see the shadow of Sherlock. We speculate that Ms Hudson is likely to be happy and at the same time in shock to see that Sherlock is alive.
"The Empty Hearse" was screened for some lucky fans at British Film Institute on Sunday. If one goes by the reaction of these fans, "Sherlock" Season 3 is worth the wait and is all set to exceed the expectations.
