BBC's hugely popular T.V series, "Sherlock," returns for its third season on January 01, 2014, after two years of excruciating wait for its fans. The spoilers leaked till now indicate that for the millions upon millions of Sherlock fans, the new season will be worth the wait. The first episode is likely to make the Twitter abuzz with the revelation about how Sherlock cheated death, while Sherlock's best man's speech might be the highlight of the second episode. The introduction of the new villain is likely to rock the third episode.

The upcoming season of "Sherlock" is going to put Sherlock on a different turf. When he returns to London after two years, he finds that things are no longer the same. His best friend, Dr Watson, has moved on and is in a serious relationship. In addition to solving new mysteries, Sherlock will have to tackle the new developments that have taken place in his absence. It will be interesting to see the interaction between Sherlock and Watson's love interest, Mary -- who will become wife of Watson. In the premiere episode, Sherlock is likely to return at the time when Watson is making an awkward attempt to propose to his lady love.

The question how Sherlock cheated death has been much speculated. According to Buzzfeed's review of the premiere episode, "The Empty Hearse," "the taut sequence that reveals how he (Sherlock) achieved such a feat is both simple, yet cunningly complex (not to mention quite spectacular)."

The Buzzfeed's review reveals that it is only at the end of the first episode that viewers will get to know how Sherlock faked his death in front of Watson. Throughout "The Empty Hearse," characters such Anderson will come-up with their own version of how Sherlock survived. Also, the review indicated that a good number of people knew that Sherlock is not dead, which is going to infuriate Watson.

The premiere episode, "The Empty Hearse," will pick-up two years after Sherlock jumped down from the roof of St. Bartholomew's Hospital to his fake death. The second episode is called "The Sign of Three," while the third episode of Season 3 is "His Last Vow."

The game is back on again and celebrating the beginning of a new year, with "Sherlock" is a must for every T.V series junkie.
