BBC has released a brief synopsis of episode 2 and episode 3 of "Sherlock" Season 3. The second episode is called "The Sign of Three," while the third episode is "His Law Vow."

In the new season of "Sherlock", Dr Watson has fallen in love. Unlike his past affairs, this time he is in a serious relationship with Mary Morstan. The relationship may have flourished and landed on a stable, serious platform thanks to the absence of Watson's best friend, Sherlock. The official synopsis of "The Sign of Three," suggests that the quirky detective's return does put an end to Watson's love story.

Watson is going to get married to Mary in "The Sign of Three" and Sherlock will be called-upon to give a Best Man's speech. "Sherlock faces his biggest challenge of all - delivering a Best Man's speech on John's wedding day! But all isn't quite as it seems. Mortal danger stalks the reception - and someone might not make it to the happy couple's first dance. Sherlock must thank the bridesmaids, solve the case and stop a killer!" according to official synopsis of "The Sign of Three."

The death of Prof. Moriarty in the finale of "Sherlock" Season 2 vacated the seat of Sherlock's biggest antagonist. Charles Augustus Magnussen will be occupying that seat. He is called the "Napoleon of blackmail." Charles Augustus Magnussen is expected to be more terrifying than Prof. Moriarty, as he knows the personal weakness of every important person in the Western World.

The synopsis of "His Last Vow," which will have loads of tears, suggests that the new antagonist is someone that Sherlock hates. According to the official synopsis of the episode: "A case of stolen letters leads Sherlock Holmes into a long conflict with Charles Augustus Magnussen, the Napoleon of blackmail, and the one man he truly hates. But how do you tackle a foe who knows the personal weakness of every person of importance in the Western world?"

As a prequel of the upcoming season, a mini-episode of "Sherlock," called "Many Happy Returns," is scheduled to air on Christmas Day on BBC. This bonus episode will show the time-jump and reveal that someone is not convinced that Sherlock is dead.

The premiere episode of "Sherlock" Season 3, "The Empty Hearse," is scheduled to air on January 01, 2014.
