What's the latest with your fave BBC crime mystery series? Here are some of the news tidbits that are related to Sherlock.

Sherlock's Airing Date

Since the production has wrapped up for the series, fans have been quite confused with rumoured airing dates of the BBC hit show. Some have seen an October 31, 2013 while others received information that pushes the airing back to January 2014. Sherlock viewers were outraged by the news that it would be delayed. One commenter noted that they've been waiting for nearly two years for the new season of Sherlock.

No dates have been confirmed by BBC. So viewers will have to wait but rest assured that the episode premiere "The Empty Hearse" will compensate for the wait.

Sherlock Legal Battles?

While everyone is eagerly awaiting the Series 3 of Sherlock of BBC, a new mystery is propping up. Specifically, a legal one.

Andrea Plunket, 73, has announced that she owns the copyrights of Sherlock Holmes and that the BBC Series has not asked the elderly Hungarian-born, U.S. socialite for the use of her characters. She also plans to stop the network from making any more Sherlock episodes by filing a legal case.

She claims to have owned copyright up to the last ten stories of Sir Conan Doyle in the US. She also said that Sherlock Holmes have been registered trademark to her and that BBC has breached that trademark.

'No one has asked permission to use my trademarks and I am confident that if and when I go to court I will be able to prevent the BBC making any more Sherlocks,' she tells in an interview with DailyMail.

She has previously negotiated with Warner Bros who made the Robert Downey, Jr. Sherlock Holmes movies. But since BBC has not negotiated with her, she will go to court to "prevent any more Sherlock's to be shown" in the U.S.

Sherlock Legos

The online community has been successful in lobbying for the Sherlock Legos to be created. The Legos are the exact replica of BBC's Sherlock set, which is primarily Sherlock's living room. The Sherlock Lego Living Room also has add-on figurines of Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Mrs. Hudson, Mycroft Holmes, Inspector Lestrade, Molly Hooper and Sherlock's enemy, Jim Moriarty.

The Lego Set is aimed to be a valued collectible for Sherlock Holmes fanatics. The Lego sets can be viewed here
