Shia LaBeouf attacked and handcuffed following a bar fight
The Transformers actor was leaving a Los Angeles sports bar when jumped by a patron.
A representative for Shia LaBeouf has confirmed that the Transformers star was attacked over the weekend, then handcuffed by authorities as a result of the ensuing bar fight.
LaBeouf’s spokesman told NY Daily News that the actor was leaving a sports bar in Los Angeles, called Mad Bull's Tavern, when he was jumped by one of the bar’s patrons.
RadarOnline.com noted that the unidentified customer punched LaBeouf in the face after calling him a "f---ing fa---t", added the NY DailyNews.
The rep made it clear, however that no arrest had been made following the incident. The NY Daily News added that it was not just LaBeouf who was given the metal bracelet but also other people involved in the fight.
This is not LaBeouf’s first brush with the law, said NY Daily News. He was arrested for misdemeanor drunk driving following a car crash in Los Angeles in 2008. The actor’s license was suspended for a year and was left with a crushed hand, when he refused to undergo a breathalyzer test. A year before that, LaBeouf was also arrested for trespassing. He had also been arrested for illegally smoking.
