In a recent turn of events it has been revealed by "Fast and Furious 7" actor Kurt Russell that there will be a major rewrite in the film's script post Walker's death.

Apparently, "Fast and Furious 7" writers are working day and night to figure out a way to write out Paul Walker's character from the film. Kurt Russel who plays Vin Diesel's father in the film revealed at the Sundance film festival that the creative team is working intensively to mold the script.

The actor said that the script is being re-written since the sudden passing away of Paul Walker in a tragic car accident.

"They're having to rewrite, they're having to do whatever they're having to do to deal with the situation. Listen, it's catastrophic. It's the worst thing that could happen to a movie, but it's not as bad as what happened to Paul. So everything is in perspective," said Russell at the film festival.

"Fast and Furious 7" was previously set for release this year in April. However, the release date of the film has been pushed to April 2014.

Regarding Paul Walker's character, Russel further said "Whether or not this guy dies off in the movie, we don't know. And that may have changed now significantly, too."

It was previously reported by Hollywood Reporter that Paul Walker's character Brian O'Connor will either die or retire in the film. However, in a recent interview by IGN.com, Chris Morgan, writer of "Fast 7" said that nothing has been decided yet with regards to Brian O' Connor and the table is still open for discussion.

Even Vin Diesel is helping the production to plan a dramatic exit for Paul Walker. On Jan. 9, Diesel posted a photo of himself and Paul Walker in Facebook and wrote, "We always took pride in trying to make each one better than the last."

Vin further added, "P.s. Tomorrow we meet with the studio, regarding the future of the Fast saga...and the completion of Seven."
