Shocking Hollywood divorces in 2015: Blake Shelton-Miranda Lambert, Patrick Dempsey-Jillian Fink, Ben Affleck-Jennifer Garner and more [PHOTOS]

Eight months into 2015, and Hollywood has been riddled with numerous couple break-ups and separations. Let’s now take a look back at some of the celebrity divorces which shocked everyone.

Earlier this year, fans were surprised over news that “Grey’s Anatomy” actor, Patrick Dempsey, and wife Jillian Fink have decided to end their 15 years of marriage. According to TMZ , Fink was the one who filed for divorce, as well as joint custody of their 3 children.

During the month of February, several Hollywood couples announced their separation including the former Disney star Hilary Duff. The singer and actress filed for divorce from hockey player Mike Comrie. The two were married for five years and have a 3-year-old-son together, Luca.

One of the shocking celebrity divorce news this year was that of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. The two announced their split just a day after their 10th year wedding anniversary. In a joint statement released by the Affleck and Garner at the time, the former couple stated that they are committed to co-parenting their children and will “go forward with love and friendship for one another.”

And who could forget the separation of country music’s power couple, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. The “Over You” songstress and “The Voice” coach announced their divorce on July 20. Their separation was “not the future [they] envisioned,” as stated on the joint statement released by the former couple’s representatives then. The two were married in May 2011.

Another couple whose divorce was finalized in July are A-listers Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas. The two filed for divorce in 2014 after 18 years of marriage, however, Griffith and Banderas only signed the divorce papers this year to make their separation official, Entertainment Tonight reported. The former couple share one child together, daughter Stella.

Fans who thought that Shelton is the only heartbroken judge on “The Voice” this year were surprised when fellow judge Gwen Stefani filed for divorce on Aug. 3, from her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. The “No Doubt” singer cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

Lastly, two of the most recent Hollywood splits were that of Megan Fox from “Beverly Hills 90210” alum Brian Austin Green. The two were married for 11 years. Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger surprised their fans when they decided to end their two year marriage on Sept. 2.

These are just some of the celebrity divorces for the past eight months. There are countless more Hollywood couples who separated this year. Hopefully, fans won’t get to see their favorite celebrity pair split up in 2015.
