'Shots Fired' Season 1 episode 8 spoilers: Preston makes a hasty decision in the Jesse Carr case in 'Hour Eight: Rock Bottom' [VIDEOS]
"Shots Fired," starring Stephan James as Preston Terry, Sanaa Lathan as Detective Ashe, Will Patton as Sheriff Platt, Stephen Moyer as Lieutenant Breeland and Richard Dreyfuss as Arlen Cox, will have an upcoming episode titled "Hour 8: Rock Bottom." It will show Preston making a hasty decision which will affect the Jesse Carr (Jacob Leinbach) case. Read on for the latest "Shots Fired" episode guide.

According to a press release from FOX, "Shots Fired" Season 1, episode 8 will feature a potential murder weapon that Ashe and Preston must investigate. This could be the key that they need to solve the Joey Campbell case. Aside from this case, Preston must also help with the Jesse Carr case. Unfortunately, he will make a rash decision about it.
It doesn't help that the tension between the Sheriff's department and the investigators of the cases mentioned above continue to escalate. An altercation even ensues which could potentially change the game. Gina Prince-Bythewood wrote and directed this episode.
Sneak Peek of 'Hour 8: Rock Bottom' episode
A sneak peek video of the episode was posted on FOX's official YouTube channel and Facebook (FB) page. It shows scenes featuring Preston, Ashe, Alicia Carr (Jill Hennessy) and Deputy Beck (Tristan Mack Wilds). Ashe will be confronted by one of the protesters and asked which side she's on. "I don't trust them and I don't trust you," she tells him. He advises her to "Better stay woke."
Meanwhile, Preston will work hard on solving the Joey Campbell case. He will question someone about what happened during the night Joey got killed. "I don't wanna see colour, but I do," he tells Ashe. "It ain't about seeing race, it's about seeing where people are coming from," she tells Preston. Watch the video at the end of this article.

According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), the following stars will appear in this episode: Erin Beute (Sandra Breeland), Julian Brittano (Julian), Sidney Brodie (Community organizer), Ian Casselberry (Rivera), Mel Chude (Hassan), Anthony Dalton (Anthony), Edwina Findley Dickerson (Shirlane), Christine Horn (Shayla), Mickey Mikes (House Folks), DeWanda Wise (Shameeka Campbell) and Earl Poitier (Silas). The rest of the cast of "Shots Fired" such as Helen Hunt (Governor Patricia Eamons ), Aisha Hinds (Pastor Janae James), Conor Leslie (Sarah Ellis) and Clare-Hope Ashitey (Kerry Beck) will also appear in "Hour 8: Rock Bottom."
'Shots Fired' episodes 2017
"Hour 8: Rock Bottom" will be aired on May 10 in the US. The episode before it is titled "Hour Seven: Content of Their Character," which was directed by John David Coles and written by J. David Shanks. After these episodes, "Hour Nine: Come to Jesus" and "Hour Ten: Last Dance" will be aired in the US on May 17 and May 24.
"Shots Fired" airs every Monday in Australia on Showcase. The FOX police drama also airs every Wednesday in the US from 8-9 pm ET/PT.
